Master Horst Lindenau earns 4th Dan Jiu-Jitsu

Bridport martial artist Horst Lindenau received his 4th Dan after a waiting time of four years after his last grading in 2019. Master Horst is today the highest decorated martial arts teacher in Bridport with over 40 years of teaching experience, both adults and children.

These are his current qualifications:

6th Dan Anti Terror Combat

6th Dan BlackCombat

4th Dan Jiu-Jitsu

2nd Dan Anti-Terrorkampf (German based style)

Diploma sports teacher

Bridport juniors train traditional Jiu-Jitsu

 Jiu-Jitsu master Horst Lindenau started teaching children in Bridport over 30 years ago. Master Horst came over from Germany, where he was educated in the art of Jiu-Jitsu and under supervision of late Grandmaster Horst Weiland (10th Dan) learned how to run children classes successfully.

Today we train in Bridport at the St.Catherines primary school. Every Thursday at 0546 pm.

Here at Ichinen Bridport, meanwhile the oldest martial arts school in Bridport, we take self defence serious. If you study martial arts and there is no effective weapon training involved, you taking a challenge. Today's street violence and domestic abuse calls for professional training and advise. Ichinen Bridport  Jiu-Jitsu every Thursday.

Sam Saines becomes Martial Artist of the year 2023

 

Trevor Barton died on the 23rd of April, six years ago.

A close friend of mine and a true martial artist himself, he joined our school Ichinen Bridport in 2013. Trevor studied Jiu-Jitsu and Anti Terror Combat, which became BlackCombat later.

Trevor is a 1st Dan BlackCombat and 3rd Kyu Jiu-Jitsu. Beside that he was green belt in two Karate styles.

Trevor is a member of honour at Ichinen Bridport and we have a “Trevor Barton memorial award” for the most improved student of the year.Trevor we miss you all. R.I.P. my dear friend.

2023 our member Sam Saines was awarded to remark this special anniversary.

Sam who studies too Kung Fu, joined Ichinen Bridport Jiu-Jitsu in August 2018. Since than he has attended both of the Jiu-Jitsu classes. With the minors Sam is a great assistant and help to teach our precious kids group. At the adult class Sam achieved the rank of 3rd Kyu green Jiu-Jitsu.

Sam has been awarded several times the honour of „Martial Artist of the month“.
