5th Kyu Jiu-Jitsu for our friend Jason Deelchand

Master Lewis A. Harris (2nd Dan Jiu-Jitsu) from Ichinen Bridport expressed his satisfaction when examining Jason Deelchand for his 5th Kyu yellow belt in traditional Japanese Jiu-Jitsu.

Jason had to demonstrate following skills;

Break falls: Roll forward, backward roll, roll sideways, fall forward, backward and sideways and 1 roll over an obstacle.

2 throws

2 strangling holds

1 defence against strangle hold

Ear nerve press

1 hold down

2 wrist locks

1 wrist lock liberation

1 defence against swinging punch

Throat nerve press, control attacker

2 arm locks

Theory:

Judo, Jiu-Jitsu, Kung Fu, Jiu-Jitsu grading system, self defence and the law, Japanese terms, Dojo etiquette, anatomy.

Here at Ichinen Bridport we teach the art not for sport or take part in championships, but purely for self defence and well being, self discipline and individual growth.

Well done Jason, congratulations from all of us!
