Jiu-Jitsu is magic. Why is that? Because it can educate and train young people, bringing out the best in them. Very much the same as Judo, when it was invented by Kano Jigoro in Japan in the year 1882. He started it to educate and train Japan's youth.
Today, we can see a fine example of what these Japanese martial arts can do by looking at the record of one of our junior members. Una Card Irvan (10) from Punknowle joined Ichinen Bridport Jiu-Jitsu in May 2024. 6 months later, she passed her first grading, the white/red stripe belt (6th Kyu). 8 months later, the precious yellow belt (5th Kyu) followed, and now Una graduated as 4th Kyu, orange belt. Big congratulations to you from all of us, you can be very proud of the good result! Her grading partner was Luke Eckett (9), a 3rd kyu green belt from Bridport.
